DIYable: Maison Michel 2011

Maison Michel, a Parisian couture house that has worked for Channel in the past, creates a collection of quirky and young series of hats and accessories for 2011 winter. (The house's relationship with Channel is so tight, Karl Largerfeld took the following photos himself.)

Since not everyone has the bank account to go along with these accessories, lets look at how these can be DIY.

These earmuffs are s-u-p-e-r-d-u-p-e-r easy to DIY. All you need is a glue gun, string of pearls (please don't use your family heirloom pearls, just use some cheap faux pearls), bits of fur, and an earmuff. Just glue everything together and presto you are done! If you need a few more steps of instruction and picture guides, check back as I'll be posting a DIY tutorial on these earmuffs in a bit.

Wear old dangly necklaces around your head (remember to secure them with bobby pins) or you could make your own necklace-band with a few beads and chains.

Almost every collection Maison Michel creates for Chanel has included an item with cat ears. Reportedly, cat ears are the favourite element of Laetitia Crahay, the Artistic Director and Head of Accessories and Jewellery of Chanel.

This look could be easily DIY-ed if one has the patience and the fingers to hot glue a couple of spikes to large hair barrettes or combs. I'm also going to be posting a DIY guide for these combs in a bit, subscribe and you won't miss it!
